introduction 简介 My first visit to Korea was in 1992. After a long hiatus, eleven years, I visited again in 2004 or 2005, I can't remember when it was. I was amazed at how different Seoul was. It is really an exciting, cosmopolitan city now. I have only made short visits so feel like I have only scratched the surface. I look forward to visiting more frequently, perhaps for longer stays. Seoul has a number of fascinating neighborhoods. So far my favorite is Insaedong but I am sure there is a lot more to see. Myeong-dong is also pretty interesting. In 2009, I also had the chance to spend some time walking along the amazing Cheonggye stream in downtown Seoul. In 2009 I finally had my first trip outside Seoul, to Andong. It was really interesting. Among other things, I spent the night at the Jirye Artists's Colony.
