Bernal Heights, San Francisco, January 2009

While I was in the Bay Area a few weekends ago, I spent a few hours in the Bernal Heights area to see a friend. We went up to the peak of the hill and of course I had my camera along. The gallery with the pictures from Bernal Heights are here. Disclosure: my friend took some of shots with my camera, and I didn't keep track, so it may be that some of these, probably the best of them, aren't mine. At least to the south it was a bit hazy, so I ended up converting those pictures to black and white and playing with the levels. After some fiddling, my favorites ended up being the following two, which are obviously similar, but I like them both...
