We spent Thanksgiving at the Grand Canyon. Of course I ended up taking a lot of photos. On two mornings, I woke before dawn and went to Yavapai Point to see the sunrise. The first day was somewhat cloudy so the results were pretty mixed, as you can see
here. The second day was all cloudless glory, and I was happier with the results, which you can see
here. I was shooting with the Canon EF-S f2.8 17-55 IS. I brought along my Tokina superwide but in the end didn't make use of it, I decided that putting it on would result in my picking up too much extraneous junk. I regretted not bringing a longer lens to zero in on some of the interest light effects when the sunlight hit particular formations.
